Kaye Greenhalgh 81 passed away July 17, 2025 after a long battle with cancer.
June Kaye was born September 12, 1943 to Nelda Mikkelson in Fountain Green Utah. Known as Kaye, she was a joy to her aunts and uncles who loved to spoil her. Kaye spent her early years growing up in Fountain Green with her parents, Alma and Nelda Everitt and her sisters, Lana, Maureen, and Lori. Kaye met the love of her life, Paul Greenhalgh while working at the Grand Canyon Lodge at the North Rim. Paul and Kaye made their life together in West Valley City, Utah and had three children, Kristie, Brad, and Brian. Paul and Kaye were married for 61 years and spent their golden years in Nephi, Utah.
Kaye was a woman gifted with many talents. She was an accomplished artist and teacher who especially loved to bond with close friends and share her knowledge and skills. She specifically excelled and loved painting wildlife. Kaye also shined in sewing, quilting, needlework, embroidery, porcelain dolls, crochet, knitting and many other projects. Later in life, Kaye served an LDS temple mission utilizing her talents by painting murals in various temples. This was a rewarding experience that brought her a great deal of joy.
Kaye is survived by her children; Kristie (Scott) Syme, Fountain Green, Utah, Brad (Ben) Greenhalgh, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Brian, Nephi, Utah; Sisters, Lana (Ken) Weidauer, Maureen (Curt) Lund, Lori (Terry) Kay, Bonnie Jean (Terry) Skipper, and Jacqueline (Jens) Mickelson; 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Kaye was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, and parents, Alma and Nelda Everitt.
We would like to express our gratitude to family, friends and co-workers who showed much love and support. A special thank you to Intermountain Hospice and Home Care for their assistance. An evening viewing will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, Nephi, Utah. A graveside service will be held July 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Vine Bluff Cemetery 1200 North 400 East, Nephi, Utah.
