Korinne Vera Hickson Faulkner

Korinne Vera Hickson Faulkner, aged 62, passed away on June 17, 2024, in her home in Sandy, Utah surrounded by her family. Born on September 12, 1961, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Korinne was known for her inclusive spirit and unconditional love, particularly towards her family.

Korinne grew up in Midvale, Utah where she graduated from Hillcrest High School. Only three months later she met the love of her life, Ted Faulkner while attending a young single adults activity. They dated for the next 11 months and got married on July 19th, 1980 in the Salt Lake City, Utah temple.

They quickly settled in Sandy, Utah, and raised their children in the house they bought right before their wedding. 

Korinne embarked on her career after her youngest child began elementary school, dedicating 31 years to her work, eventually rising to the position of Senior Technical Support Specialist at BaseCamp Franchising, which owns Kid to Kid. She cherished her job, forming lasting relationships with her team, co-workers, and store owners.

A lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Korinne devoted 43 years to serving her congregation, most notably with the children in primary, which she found profoundly fulfilling.

Her hobbies included spending cherished time with her grandchildren, engaging in activities ranging from adventures, attending sports, and planning holiday parties. An avid sudoku player, Korinne always kept a puzzle book close at hand. She also enjoyed serving others and playing games with family and friends.

Korinne is survived by her husband, Ted; children, David (Brittany), Josh, Nicole (Sam), and Jake; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her four older siblings, Kathryn, Colleen, Lee, and Bart. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11:00 am at the LDS chapel located at 915 E. 9045 S., Sandy, Utah, with viewings on Friday, June 28th from 6-8 pm and Saturday, June 29th from 9:30-10:45 am.
