Lola Alice O'Driscoll Allsop

Lola Alice (O'Driscoll) Allsop passed away on May 30, 2024 at the age of 97. She was born on November 17, 1926 to Leo F. Hart and Alice Day Hart in Salt Lake City, Utah. She grew up on her parents’ farm and spent her early days helping her parents grow and harvest a variety of crops.

After graduating from Davis High School, Lola joined the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps during World War II. She became a registered nurse and worked for many years in Wasatch, Summit and Salt Lake County hospitals. She also served as a public health and school nurse for the South Summit School District. Her life was spent serving and taking devoted care of others when they were in their greatest need.

She also enjoyed square dancing, playing the organ, her dogs, fishing, tennis, swimming and the outdoors--and most recently, beating everyone at bingo at the Elk Ridge Assisted Living Center where she, in her turn, received loving and devoted care in her greatest time of need. We are ever so grateful for all of those at the Care Center who loved, befriended and cared for her.

Lola married Bob O'Driscoll in June of 1947--later (divorced) and Delbert Allsop in January 1993. Both of whom have also passed away. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She is survived by her children Michael "Sparky" (Julie) O'Driscoll; Phil (Judy) O'Driscoll; Grant (Dian) O'Driscoll; Kent (Lorraine) O'Driscoll; 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. She dearly loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers Leo R Hart and Haven Hart; and her two sisters Ida Haskett and Mary Holbrook.

Graveside services and interment will be held at the Oakley City Cemetery.
