Lorna S Moon

Lorna S Moon passed away on June 2, 2024 at the age of 85. She was born in 1938 to Ralph and Nellie Southam in Vernal, Utah. She grew up on her parents’ farm and spent time helping her parents grow and harvest crops and care for the life stock. She learned her work hard ethics that have remained a part of her throughout her live.

She married her high school sweetheart Marlin Moon on August 20, 1956. They remained true companions for 60 years.  Marlins’ passing left a hole in her heart that only now has been mended. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which she took great pride and joy.

She is survived by children Jeanette Moon, Marion (Susan) Moon, Glen Moon, Mickey Moon; 4 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sisters Ora (Kenneth) Moon, Donna (Richard) Bowden.   She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Grace Gardner; and brother Everett Southam.

Funeral services with be held Saturday, June 8^th at the chapel located at 1050 E. Chapel Hill Dr, Midvale, Utah. There will be a viewing time prior to the services at 10:30 AM, with the funeral services beginning at noon. Interment to follow services at Midvale City Cemetery. The services will be available on zoom.

It is with heartfelt thanks to her many friends and loved ones that have expressed their love for her. She will be missed.
