Lucile Donna Cooke

Devoted and beloved wife and mother Lucile passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 after a long 12 year battle with dementia at the age of 77. She was born April 6, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Rulon Lavern Mugleston and Velma Florence Jackson. She was married to the love of her life Lawrence Reid Cooke on March 2, 1962, and shared an incredible life together. She was a wonderful person with a beautiful soul and will be missed greatly. She had an amazing talent for cooking and needle work.

Survived by her son Rick (Paula West) Cooke, and sister Janet (Gus) Jeppsen. Preceded in death by husband Lawrence R. Cooke, father Rulon Mugleston, step mother Alice Marie Mugleston, mother Velma Jackson, brother William Rulon Mugleston, sisters Elizabeth Pearce, Katherine Troyer, and granddaughter Lyndi Ann Cooke. A special thanks to Paula and nephew William Carr Mugleston (Billy) for all the years of support for her. Also, special thanks to Dr. Mark Neuman (Comprehensive Psychological Services) and Steward Primary Care.

Friends and Family may call Thursday, November 16, 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State St., Midvale.

Service (informal) Friday, November 17, 11:00 a.m., Goff Mortuary, then interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy.
