Lynne Larson Cuff

Lynne Larson Cuff, 77, passed away August 17, 2022. Born January 15, 1945 to Clarence D and Olive M Larson in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Lynne was raised as an only child and grew up and lived in the Sandy, Utah area her whole life. Lynne attended Jordan High School and was in the first graduating class at Hillcrest High School in 1963. She met her first husband, Bill Nebeker, while attending high school and married him shortly after graduation on August 2, 1963 in the Salt Lake Temple. Her wish was to be a mother and homemaker. Her desire to be a mother led her and her husband to be foster parents to over several hundred children. They were able to have one biological daughter, Lisa, and adopted 8 more children, Blair, Paul, Marc, Bethany, Cindy, David, Donny and Melissa. Many years later they divorced. Lynne met and married Steven W Cuff on May 7, 1994 in the Jordan River Temple. Lynne continued taking foster children and she and Steven adopted Daniel together.

Lynne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. Her favorite callings were those in the Relief Society. Lynne loved music and enjoyed singing as well as being the Chorister in Sacrament Meeting. You could always hear her singing load and proud her favorite church hymns. Primary songs were always part of her “play lists.”

Lynne was proud to be associated and serve with her friends on the Jordan High School Alumni. She loved reunions and looked forward to reuniting with her friends. Lynne loved animals and had many different pets throughout her life. There was always a new puppy or kitten in her home and found so much comfort in her pets. She was raised with horses and started riding as a toddler. Lynne loved to dance as a little girl and grew up always taking dance classes. She participated in many extracurricular activities through her school years.

Lynne was battling dementia, but even in her final months, you could always see and hear her fabulous wit even when her speech was limited. When asking her how she was feeling, she would answer back “with my hands.” Towards the end of her life the thing she enjoyed most was holding hands and looking at pictures of her family.

Lynne is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Olive Larson, her infant brother Gene, her children, Paul Nebeker, Bethany Richardson, David Nebeker and Cindy Nebeker. She is survived by her husband, Steven; her children, Lisa Park, Blair Nebeker, Marc Nebeker, Melissa Conant, Donny Nebeker, Daniel Cuff, her stepchildren, Mathew Cuff (Summer), Paul Cuff (Larissa), Laura Hanson (Spencer), Michael Cuff (Madi); 23 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and numerous foster children that were still actively engaged in her life.

Our family would like to thank the Pheasant Run Memory Care Center who watched over her the past 4 years and most recently the wonderful care givers from Harmony Hospice. Our family will forever be appreciative of the time and care that was shown to our Mother.
