Lynne Diane Russell

Our wonderful sister Lynne Diane Russell moved on to her next adventure on June 29, 2024. 

She was born to C. Thomas and Bonnie B. Russell on January 23, 1954. She was the eldest of five siblings, of which only three remain. Her sisters, Mrs. Susan (Michael) Teuscher, Mrs Lisa (Kelly) Young and Mrs Kathleen (Glosper) Bowman. Her brother, Thomas Ross Russell, preceded her in death. She also has many nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored. 

Lynne was a talented artist and sculptor. Her love of cats was well known, and she would have many waiting for her in heaven. She had a voracious love of books, first and foremost being science fiction. Star Trek was a particular favorite, and she read books, watched TV shows and movies and attended conventions when she could. She believed in the possibilities that were expressed in the works. 

'Star Trek' was an attempt to say humanity will reach maturity and wisdom on the day that it begins not just to tolerate but take a special delight in differences in ideas and differences in lifeforms.

With much love, a thought at her passing was Scotty had beamed her up! She will be greatly missed, and we hope she has found peace and joy in the reunion with our parents and brother.
