Margaret Lee Johnson

Margaret passed away peacefully in her home on July 27, 2026. She was born on July 9, 1952 to Lester Barton and Verna Ann Jenkins.

Margaret graduated from Bingham High School. After high school she volunteered as a Candy Striper at Cottonwood Hospital. She attended the University of Utah and graduated with an LPN degree. She worked at various hospitals including Valley West, Cottonwood Hospital and Alta View Hospital.

She married Kent Johnson on February 21, 1976, together they had two children Shane Lester, and Tiona Lylelee. Later divorced.

During her free time Margaret loved camping, long rides, sewing and cross stitch. Margaret was an excellent caretaker to her mother Verna and her grandson Travis.

Survived by children Shane and Tiona; grandson Travis; and brother Sam (Benita) Barton.

Preceded in death by both her parents Lester and Verna Barton; sister Deanna Wiley; brother Stephen (Vera) Barton; infant sister and brother Helen Elaine and Phelp Leland; and sister BethAnn Barton.

Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
