Margot Helene (Schwarz) Todd

Margot Helene (Schwarz) Todd was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend during her incredible 74 years of life. She passed away peacefully the afternoon of Saturday, October 29, 2022. She was born to the late Rudolf Emil Schwarz and Lieselotte Henrietta (Becker) Schwarz, November 5th, 1948, Wuppertal Barmen, Germany.

She married Philip Roy Todd in 1965, they celebrated their 57-year anniversary February 2022. Margot is survived by her husband Philip Todd, and her three children: Angela Anderson (Craig) Christopher Todd (Tawna) and Patrick Todd (Stephanie). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren: Anthony Anderson (Charissa), Aspen Anderson (Garrett), Madison Todd Bradley (Trevar), Sydney Todd King (Ryan), Christian Todd, Cooper Todd, Zachary Todd, Asher Anderson, Emery Anderson. Margot was also survived by brother Roman Schwarz (Sharon) and several nieces, and nephews. Margot was predeceased by her parents, sister Helga Schwarz, niece Stacie Schwarz, and granddaughter Isabella Todd.

Margot had many interests, among those were gardening, road trips with her husband, camping with family, and playing Scrabble and visiting with family and friends. Margot also had a love for animals and would have had as many as she could have had legally. She was a very supportive mom and loved taking part in in her children’s lives and interests, whether it be the numerous baseball games with her sons, or rodeos competitions with her daughter. Margot enjoyed doing activities with her grandchildren, such as arts and crafts, creating treasure maps, baking the famous pound cake, and just spending time with each of them.

Margot has suffered with severe rheumatoid arthritis for several years, but like her mom, she faced her affliction with bravery, and courage, I would also add stubbornness and humor. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

A celebration of Margot’s life will be held on Saturday, November 19th, 2022, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Azalea Event Venue, 11277 Kestrel Rise Rd Suite B & C, South Jordan, UT 84009.
