Marilyn Ausick

Marilyn Ruth Silcox Ausick, 82 years old, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2023. Born July 12, 1941. Loving mother, grandma, great grandma and friend, Marilyn worked as a cosmetologist, cook, and floral designer. She worked at Mary's Cafe and retired as floral shop owner of Artistic Design Floral.

Marilyn married Neil Mackie in 1958 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, later divorced. She married Michael Ausick in 1982 until his passing in 2014. Anyone who knew Marilyn knew her as Mom or Grandma. She was hard working, loving, and giving. She always offered her love, food and home to any one who came. She will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by five children, Ruth (Wendall) Andreoff, Teri (Hal) Whiting, LeRoy Mackay (Shelly), Lorie (John) Potter, and Kaylene (Shane) Davis. Preceded in death by daughter Marla Mackay, husband Michael Ausick, parents Gordon and Ellen Silcox, brother LeRoy Silcox, sisters Marla Silcox and LaRue Bell. She was raising her "boys" Jordan Rybal and Cole Newport, her two great grandsons. She has 17 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be November 4, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., with viewing one hour prior to service. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery. Special thanks to Applegate Hospice for their care of Marilyn.
