Marjorie (Margie) Pearl Gardner, age 81, of Sandy, Utah, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026.
Margie was born in Murray, Utah, to Kenneth (Bud) and Gladys McLeod Panter on December 7, 1944. She was the 4th of their 5 children. Margie graduated from Murray High School in 1963.
She met and married the love of her life Robert (Bob) Gardner in 1967, they made their home in Salt Lake City where they welcomed the first of their 3 children in 1968 and became a homemaker. They later moved to Sandy, and made their permanent home there.
She was the kindest, most amazing mom, she always had a smile and a kind word for everyone, she had a way of making others feel like family and that they truly belonged.
She became Grams in May of 1996 and was of course amazing at it. She was Grams to her 6 amazing grandkids, they will always remember her kindness, her love for them, her big smile and the fact that she was always so proud of them. They will also remember the famous pizza parties, and sleepovers at her house. They brought so much joy to her life.
She is survived by her children Susie (Brian) Drew, Terri (Dan McMullin) Gardner, and Travis (Jessica) Gardner. Along with her 6 cutie pa-tooties her grandchildren Conner, Ashley, Austin, Jaxon, Lincoln, and Paisley.
Preceded in death by her husband Robert Allen Gardner, her parents Kenneth and Gladys Panter, her sister Beverly Weathers, her brother Kenneth W Panter Jr.
Services will be held on September 15th, 2026, at Goff Mortuary (8090 S State Street, Midvale, Utah). Visitation 10am-10:45am, with services to follow. The interment will follow at Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park (17111 S Camp Williams Rd, Bluffdale, Utah).
The family would like to thank Refined Hospice for their excellent care, and the staff who took care of her at Cedarwood.
