Mary Elizabeth Fehr Jorgensen, 102, passed away on December 26, 2022 at Cedarwood Assisted Living in Sandy, Utah, where she had resided for almost eight years. She was born on July 16, 1920, to John and Evelyn James Fehr in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Carl lvan Jorgensen on October 10, 1941 in Salt Lake City, and together they raised six children. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple. She resided in Midvale, Utah for most of her married life, and made many lifelong friends.

Mary was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was an angel on earth. She spent her life serving others, starting with her parents, who were both deaf from birth. She was a wonderful mother and friend to all.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served faithfully all of her life. She loved the Primary. She served as Compassionate Service leader for 21 years, and taught Gospel Doctrine at age 90.

She loved acting in plays when she was a young woman, and she loved singing around the house. She loved to read and also to write. We children learned to love music and reading.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Tom, Will, and Phil, her baby sister, Louise Priscilla, her husband, lvan, and her son, Richard. She is survived by daughters Marianne (Arnold) Butterfield; Linda (Willard) Wilde, Sharon (Kenneth) Rodgers, Teresa Sorensen, and son Robert (Rebecca) Jorgensen. Also survived by 22 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren.

A funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the Midvale 3rd Ward, 7825 S. Olympus Street at noon. A viewing will be held from 10:00-11:45.
