Minerva "Mandi" Ovard

Mandi, 82, passed away on November 23, 2025 in her Sandy home. She was born on January 9, 1943 in Geneva, Idaho to Fred and Ivy Price. Mandi married Richard Ovard on September 18, 1965 in Reno Township. Our dear mother has passed on to meet her creator for whom she loved deeply. This is not a ploy to avoid paying her taxes or any creditors.

Her greatest accomplishment was having her son Devan and her daughter Denise. Mostly her daughter Denise. She loved to camp, go hunting and ride four wheelers. I think mostly to carry a gun and scare the animals.

She truly loved going to church and all of the friends she made there. We hope when she met the Lord she asked him if aliens really do exist, so she can truly rest in peace.

She is survived by her son Richard Ovard, daughter Denise Cloward, granddaughters Lindy Ovard, Shaily Ovard, Kersti Ovard, grandsons D.J. Ovard, Damon Cloward and Hunter Cloward. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard, parents Fred and Ivy, sister Della and her dog Rudy.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd at 11:00 AM with a viewing one hour prior at the Marion Village Ward, 1223 East 7800 South, Midvale, UT. 84047. Interment to follow at Sandy City Cemetery, 700 East 9000 South, Sandy.
