Morris Fred Mower

Morris Fred Mower, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, returned home to our Heavenly Father on November 4, 2026, while surrounded by his family. Morris was born August 15, 1935, in Fairview, Utah to Fred Webster and Maurine Kiesel Mower. Morris grew up in Oak Creek, Utah. His playground was the nearby mountains, rivers, and creeks. As a young man he attended North Sanpete High School and enjoyed participating in all sports and helping on his family farm. Here he met the love of his life, Sharlene Olsen Mower, and married her May 8, 1954. Their marriage was later sealed for time and all eternity in the Jordan River temple in 1995. Their 72 years of marriage stood as a beautiful testament to a lifetime of love, unwavering devotion, and the enduring commitment they shared.

Morris had a very successful career using his talents for exploring, discovering, and developing new concepts. He first worked at Chicago Bridge and Iron as a first-class welder. Then spent the rest of his career at Ames Taping Tools where he worked in Research and Development. Here he had many jobs and received six patents in his name for his designs. After retiring from Ames, He and Shar joined a caravan company, where they led motorhome caravans across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. They made wonderful memories with their caravan friends.

Morris was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In 2008, Morris and Shar served a LDS mission at Heber Valley Camp where they enjoyed working and serving the young women. Afterwards, he couldn’t sit still in retirement, and in 2012 at the age of 77, Morris proudly founded USA Windshields, an ATV windshield business that became one of his greatest accomplishments. Affectionately known as “The Windshield Guy”, Morris built a business that has sold tens of thousands of windshields through his hard work, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit. He proudly passed the business down to his children, and his legacy continues today as USA Windshields remains strong and successful.

The biggest legacy Morris left was the love he had for his family. He taught his children how to work hard, be kind, be honest, to have fun, and to enjoy life to the fullest. Morris was survived by his wife Sharlene and their three children: Fred (Cathy) Mower, Tammy (Ralph) Crystal, and Rob (Julie) Mower. He was also survived by 24 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and his siblings: Judi, Sherry, and Jed. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Marcia, Dennis, Larry, Roger, Clair, and Galen.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at the Stone Ridge LDS chapel (12070 South Laurel Chase Drive, Riverton, Utah 84065), with a viewing from 10:00-11:00 am. Burial will take place later that day at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday, November 11th from 6:00-8:00pm at Anderson and Goff Mortuary (11859 S. 700 E. Draper, Utah 84020).

The family wishes to express appreciation to the IHC Hospice team, especially his nurse Ben. The family also requests in lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Light the World this holiday season or donate to The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network.
