Nedra Lucille Oliver was born on January 26, 1947 to Dale and Nona Smith. She passed away on December 29, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Nedra married her high school sweetheart, David Samuel Oliver, on December 4, 1965. They enjoyed a wonderful life together and were married for 57 years before David’s passing in 2023. Together they enjoyed camping, gardening, walking around the mall, and simply being with each other. Wherever one was, the other was not far away. They were a sweet example of what love and devotion look like.
One of Nedra’s favorite pastimes was crafting. Whether she was making bracelets, wreaths, flower arrangements, or sewing Christmas tree skirts, she loved every minute of it! Her home was always decorated beautifully and she never left the house without her hair fixed, her make up done, her jewelry in place, and being dressed well from her head to her toes. Everyone that knew her always commented on her stylish ways!
Angel on Earth is a perfect description of sweet Nedra. She served as Relief Society President, Young Women’s President, and every calling in between. But, her favorite calling was when she served at the nursing home in Draper. She loved those she served with her whole heart and soul and they loved her right back. Her kind, gentle ways will be missed by everyone around her.
Her greatest joys in life came from her family and friends. Her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren never had to question her love for them. On the day of her passing, her room was a merry go round of family and loved ones who wanted to stay by her side just as long as they possibly could.
There was a joyous reunion in heaven with her eternal companion, David, her beloved daughter, Chelle, grandchildren, parents, and many more loved ones. Chris (Keven) Vawdrey, Mindy (Jared) Wagstaff, Josh (Emilee) Oliver, her 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and her large extended family and friends will miss her terribly, but are comforted by the knowledge that she is happy, pain free, and working hard at putting her decorating touch on the mansion dad has been preparing for them in heaven. Thank you for the support of her family, thoughtful neighbors, and the hospital staff who cared for her during her last days. Until we meet again, mom, we love you!
