Norman B. Wall, 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Mona, Utah, on August 2, 2026.
Norman was born on May 5, 1943, in Santaquin, Utah, to Carlyle Wall and Lucille Parkin Wall.
As a young man, Norman served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Western Canadian Mission. His experiences there strengthened his testimony and inspired a lifelong commitment to learning. After returning home, he married Ann Sutherland in the Manti Utah Temple on August 20, 1966.
Norman earned a Master's Degree in Education from Brigham Young University and later completed a post-master's Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree, further preparing him for a lifetime of leadership in public education.
Norman dedicated his career to public education. He began as a wood shop teacher before becoming principal of Tabiona High School, Eureka Elementary School, Mona Elementary School and many administrative positions at Juab School District.
Throughout his career, Norman believed every student deserved to feel valued and capable. He worked to create schools where students felt accepted, were encouraged to be themselves, and were given the confidence to succeed. He was deeply committed to supporting both students and teachers and believed education could make a lasting difference in people's lives.
Norman also devoted his life to serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings over the years, including Bishop of the Mona First Ward. Later, he and his wife, Ann, served together in the Spokane Washington Mission.
Outside of work and church service, Norman enjoyed riding horses, hunting, and spending time with his family.
Norman is survived by his wife, Ann Sutherland Wall; his children, Kim (Bryan) Coats, Kris Wall, Bart (Debbe) Wall, Seth (Misty) Wall, Kara (Dennis) Gardner, and Trent (Caroline) Wall; 18 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Elwood (Sue) Wall; and his sister, Ruth Francom, and his sister-in-laws, Pat Sutherland and Eileen Wall.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dean Wall; his sister, Dorine Wall; and his brother-in-laws, Paul Francom, Bill Sutherland, and Tom(Yvona) Sutherland.
He will be remembered for his dedication to education, his service to his church and community, and the love he had for his family. His example of kindness, integrity, and quiet service will continue to influence those who knew him.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mona First Ward Chapel.
