Pamela Ann Donaldson Harris, of Nephi, Utah, born June 12, 1948, returned to her heavenly home on December 10, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 77.
Pamela was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to James R. Donaldson and Nadine C. Donaldson.
Her youth was spent in Silver City, New Mexico, and Mesa, Arizona. She graduated from Mesa High in 1966 with the Gah-Tso honor, which recognized the top ten seniors of more than 300 who provided meaningful contributions to the school by demonstrating leadership and responsibility while maintaining strong personal character and academic performance.
After high school, she attended Mesa Community College and studied at BYU from 1966 to 1969. While attending BYU, she met her husband, Neil Harris. They were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple, on April 11, 1969. In 1971, they welcomed the first of their four beautiful children.
She is preceded in death by: her Father, James R. Donaldson; Mother, Nadine C. Donaldson; Brother, Burke Donaldson, and Granddaughters, McKinzley and Elexia Graff.
She is survived by: her husband, Neil Harris. Four Children: Laura Hamilton (Lamont), Steven Harris (Janette), James Harris (Julie), Rebecca Graff (Timothy). Sisters: Cynthia Wood (Jode), Debbie Hubbs (Don). Twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pam faithfully served in many church callings, touching and influencing the lives of all she met. In 2014, she served a six month full-time mission with her husband Neil for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the New Mexico Farmington Mission. After returning home, her service continued in other capacities.
Pam was truly a joy to be around. She knew how to have fun and often resorted to impromptu light-hearted antics. She was genuinely curious, continually seeking self-improvement and opportunities to uplift those around her. She loved learning and teaching. Pam always had a lesson to share that could lift your heart or enlighten your mind. She was a good friend to everyone she met, and people naturally gravitated towards her.
She enjoyed sewing, calligraphy, cooking, and gardening. Outdoor adventures and music fed her soul, while reading and genealogy satisfied her love of learning. She published several books containing her family's history.
Her faith and family were her top priorities, and she dedicated a lifetime of love and service to them.
Pam gracefully faced and navigated all challenges that came her way. She was not known for complaining. She always looked for ways to see the brighter side of life’s ups and downs.
She valued hard work and the satisfaction that came from a job well done. She made it a point to always do her best. Some common phrases in her home were: "Idleness is the devil's workshop," and "Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without." She never wanted to see things go to waste and would find creative uses for them. Another common phrase heard was "If you borrow something, make sure you return it in as good, if not better, condition than you found it." This principle applied to relationships as well, and was evident in how she treated those around her. She would strive to make relationships better and to see people as Christ would. All who met Pam felt her loving influence.
Mom, you are leaving an incredible legacy of faith, Christlike love, an unshakable testimony of our Savior and His Atonement, and what it means to be an Eternal Family. Your wisdom, your love, and your example will be missed. We love you, and look forward to the day we meet again.
