Our beloved father, Paul N. Gutierrez, has returned to God and to the loving arms of his cherished wife Pearl N. Gutierrez.  Our dad was born June 30, 1922 in Las Huertas, Zacatecas, Mexico.

Dad passed away in the early hours of December 26, 2017 in West Bountiful.

He is survived by his daughters Teresa (David) Martinez, Ana Maria (Doug Forbes) and Paula Gutierrez, special granddaughter Desiree Wallace (Manolo Ordonez), grandsons: Miguel (28) (Kelsey) Ritz, Zeus Forbes (21) and David Gutierrez (19), great grandsons: Jeremy (19) and Christopher (5), compadres: Jose and Veronica Chavez and his special goddaughter Beca and her brothers Josue and Danny, goddaughter Luz Montano, cherished niece Consuelo Gutierrez Sandoval, his many nieces and nephews, and special family friend Taberlee Reid.

Preceded in death by his wife Pearl N. Gutierrez, parents Fortino and Trinidad Gutierrez , brothers Jesus and Manuel Gutierrez, sisters Josefina and Antonia Gutierrez, grandson Jeremiah Gonzalo Ritz, and nephews Gary and Robert Neria.

He retired from Kennecott Copper Mine after 34 years.  He enjoyed being at home with his family and friends and working in his garden.  While he had his health he was very dedicated to his church and church activities.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Fred Neria and Lute Gallegos, who were waiting for him with open arms.

And we would like to Thank all our Tio's and Tia's for their help, support and LOVE that they have shown us over the years, Fred (Deon), Kenney (Johnny), Conrad (Florence), Mary (Salomon) and David (Teri).

The family would like to  give our thanks to Access Home Care and Hospice and their nurses Jason, Diana and Dawn, and massage therapist Debbie, and a special thanks to CNA Chase for his unwavering care, support and comfort that he provided to our dad.  He is and was Ana Maria's "Knight in Shining Armor."

As we sit in the West Jordan Public Library writing this obituary, if we've missed anyone "Please" know that we LOVE you all and we THANK you for all your support and love.

The viewing will be held Thursday December 28, 2017 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm and reciting of the Holy Rosary will follow at 7:00 pm, this will take place at St. Therese Catholic Church, 624 West Lennox St., Midvale, UT  84047.

Funeral Mass will be on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00 am, also at St. Therese Church. Interment will be at Midvale City Cemetery.
