It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Pauline Carolyn Bailey, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Pauline passed away peacefully at age 91, surrounded by those she loved. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and unwavering faith.
Pauline was born February 22, 1934 in Los Angeles, California to Paul and Nellie Ruyf. She was raised in Hawthorne, California with her four brothers Earl, Lucas, David, and Andrew.
Pauline was a beautiful Christian woman who lived her life with a heart full of devotion to the Lord Jesus. She inspired all who knew her with her warmth, grace, and dedication. She had a special love for her church family. She truly made everyone feel special, for they were special to her.
Pauline found joy in spending time with her dog JoJo, reading, embroidery, crocheting, enjoying long drives, and she adored receiving flowers. Her sparkling eyes held a mischievious twinkle that matched her spirit. And she had a way making those around her feel loved and cherished.
Though she may no longer be with us, Pauline's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and church family. Pauline had 7 children: Steve (Connie) Lydon, Thomas (Mary) Lydon (Deceased), Ruth Lydon Christensen, Paula Lydon Rilling, Kenneth (LaReena) Lydon, Carolyn Hargett (Deceased),
Annette (Whitney) Maw, and Paul (Robin) Hargett. She had 23 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Pauline married 3 times in life and all have preceded her in death.
Pauline had many loved ones who will carry her memory with them forever. In honor of her life a graveside service will be held at Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park (17111 S. Camp Williams Rd., Bluffdale, UT) on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. The services will start at 11 am.
Rest in Peace, Pauline, you are loved, and your memory will never fade.
