Peggy Symes

Peggy Paramore Symes, 62, of Sandy, Utah passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at her home of natural causes.

Peggy was born in Sandy, Utah on August 3rd, 1959 to parents, Rulon C. and Joan Garner Paramore. She grew up in Sandy with seven siblings: Mike, Linda, Andrea, Pat, Sue, Cindy, and Randy. She graduated from Jordan High School in 1977 and married Brad Symes in Lake Tahoe, California on July 23rd, 1983.

Peggy was incredibly talented and adept at so many things. She was a beautician, artistic with beads and jewelry, crafty in so many ways, and she was an amazing cook and baker. Her most treasured role and the one she was undoubtedly best at was being a mother to her two sons, Colby and Colyn, eventually mother-in-law to Emma and Jacquie; who all adored her and her gifts which she shared with them often. She was also an amazing mother to many pets over the years. Recently, Peggy became a grandmother to her first and highly anticipated granddaughter, Rowen Symes.

Peggy worked at the Native American Trading Post for more than 10 years, becoming a familiar and always-kind face; serving her community and making many close friends.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Brad who loved her so much and will miss her dearly, her two sons, Colby and Colyn, their wives, and granddaughter, Rowen, her siblings; Pat (Jim), Linda (Danny), Andrea (Devon), Sue, and Randy (Cynthia), her many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly, and her dog and constant companion, Lily.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Rulon and Joan, siblings Mike and Cindy, and most-recent, beloved dog Roxy.

Peggy was talented, kind, and thoughtful. She was loved immensely by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Her memory will live on in her beautiful family and the many memories she created with loved ones during the time we all had with her.

There will be a celebration of life for family and close friends on Sunday, January 9th, 2022, from 1-3 pm at the Clubhouse at Crescentwood Village, 11352 Crescentwood Dr., Sandy, UT 84070. For details, please reach out to Colyn Symes at colynsymes@yahoo.com
