Randy D. Johnson

Randy D. Johnson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, departed this world with cherished memories. Born on October 1, 1951, in Salt Lake City, UT, and departed on June 14, 2024. 

For over five decades, Randy shared a bond of love and joy with his beloved wife, Shauna. He leaves behind his children, Erik Johnson and Amy (Dave) Thornton. The mention of his grandchildren: Rashan, Denton, Ashlynn, Miles, Sariah, Brooks, Mckenzie, and step-grandchildren Britnee, Lucas, and Meade, filled him with happiness and pride.

Though Randy has departed from this world, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched. His daughter Joyce Johnson, grandson Kobin Johnson, and parents Shirley Dupaix Johnson and Harold and Grace Johnson preceded him in death. While their absence leaves an ache in our hearts, their memories continue to illuminate our lives with love and warmth.

Randy cherished the outdoors and found solace at his cabin, surrounded by towering trees and the soothing melody of birdsong. He found a sense of peace that touched his soul. It was a sanctuary where he could disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with the rhythms of nature. Whether it was sitting by the crackling fire with his family and friends, listening to the symphony of the wilderness, or simply gazing at the star-filled sky, Randy found fulfillment in these simple yet profound moments. 

A celebration of Randy's life will be held at the Community Center at Canyon Crossing at Riverwalk Apartments, 6880 S. 700 W. Midvale, UT, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. 

Though Randy may be gone from our sight, his love will forever remain etched in our hearts. May he rest in peace, knowing that he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed and forever in our hearts.
