Rayola (Rae) Christiansen Twiggs, age 90, passed away from a massive stroke on Saturday, November 12, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Rae was born May 30, 1932 in Moreland, Idaho to James Loran Christiansen and Thelma Park. She was the youngest of six children. She married Boyd Nathaniel Twiggs on November 11, 1954 in the Idaho Falls Latter Day Saint Temple. They were the proud parents of seven children.

Rae suffered her first massive stroke shortly after the birth of her last child, Natalie, which affected her speech and walking abilities. Rae's amazing mother took care of her and the family for several weeks after the stroke.

She loved to travel, decorate for the holidays, garden, and playing cards with her family. She was also an excellent cook and loved being a mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her great hugs and kisses she freely gave. Her life was full of hardships, yet she remained optimistic. If asked how she felt, she would answer, “pretty good.”

She was preceded in death by her husband Boyd, her son Denton Ray, her parents, and her siblings. She is survived by her sons Jeffrey Boyd, Curtis Lee (Stacey), Scott Hale (Coral), Bradley J. (Sandra), daughters Pamela, and Natalie Butcher.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at the Midvale 1st Ward Latter Day Saint Chapel, 308 W 7500 S., Midvale, Utah. A viewing will precede the funeral at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be immediately following the services at the Midvale Cemetery.
