Rick Deming

Ricky LaMar Deming returned home to his Heavenly Father on December 18, 2022 after a decline in health over the last two years. He spent his last days surrounded by loved ones.

Rick was born to Mont and Mary Deming on August 31, 1954 at Cottonwood Hospital in Murray, UT. He grew up in Sandy, UT. He enjoyed hiking, camping and fishing and earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

Rick spent most of his adult life living in the Taylorsville/Bennion area. He served in various church callings, coached youth sports, loved learning new things and trying new hobbies, and was an avid University of Utah supporter. Rick worked for National Semiconductor (later Fairchild Semiconductor) in West Jordan for over 25 years and retired from the University of Utah in 2020.

He is survived by his family Polly Deming (spouse) and his children, Jared (Rena) Deming, Sydney Deming, Megan Deming, and Michael (Danielle) Deming along with his five grandchildren: Nathaniel, Miley, Cooper, Emma, and Macklin.

The viewing will be held at Goff Mortuary on December 28, 2022, from 6pm to 8pm and on December 29, 2022 from 10am-11am. Funeral Services will be held at Goff Mortuary on December 29th beginning at 11am.
