Roberta Randall

Roberta (Bobbie) Jane Randall passed away on October 11, 2023 at Elk Meadows Assisted Living, in Oakley, Utah. She was the daughter of Gertrude Pullan Banford and John Mariner Banford. She was born in Salt Lake City and at the age of 16 moved to Bountiful. There she attended Davis High School and then was in the 1st graduating class from Bountiful High School. In her senior year she met and married Elbert Randall, and they later divorced. Also, she married and divorced Melvin Dean Bishop and Duane Thomas Hone.

She graduated from Weber State College in 1996 at 58 years of age, with a Bachelor degree in Social Work and a minor in Spanish.

She was called to the World Wide Support Mission with the FamilySearch Department and started her mission on February 1, 2010. She loved the work and had many awesome experiences with the patrons who contacted her with FamilySearch problems. She also had a calling as a FamilySearch Ward Consultant for the Porter Lane 2nd Ward. She had great enthusiasm for helping the ward members and friends find their ancestors. Some of her outstanding talents were listening and her ability to help people explore their problems.

She was a single parent of 7 children: Terri (Robert) Stephens, Paul (Jolene) Randall, Becky Randall-Hess, Jay (Tonya) Randall, Jeff Randall, Trina (Alan) Root, and Craig (Nastia) Randall. She was preceded in death by her son Paul and her grandson Cody. She has 22 grandchildren and 12+ great grandchildren.

Her viewing will be on Monday, October 16th at 2:00 pm. The funeral will follow at 3:00 pm. Both the viewing and funeral will be at Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 South 700 East, Draper, Utah. Interment will be at Crescent Cemetery.

A special thanks to all who have shown compassionate service to her over the past few months. She will be missed by all.
