Rodney Elroy Clawson

Rodney Elroy Clawson, 79, of Sandy, UT was born on October 9, 1942, in Safford, AZ, the youngest son of Harry Allen Clawson and Melba Busby. He died peacefully in his home, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, after experiencing kidney failure.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Jeremy Andrew Clawson.

Survivors include his wife, Aneta Marion Clawson of Sandy, UT; and children, Sonja Smith (Monte) of Sandy, UT, Casey Clawson, of Wichita, KS, Daniel Clawson (Teri) of Layton, UT, Becky Clawson of Sandy, UT, and Machee Clawson of Sandy, UT; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

There will be a viewing Thursday, March 24, 2022, 6:00-8:30 p.m. and Friday, March 25, 2022, 9:00-10:30 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1050 East Galena Drive, Sandy, UT 84094. Interment will be Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the Toquerville Cemetery, 119 North Toquer Blvd., Toquerville, UT 84774.

In lieu of flowers, Rodney asked that donations be made to the LDS Missionary Fund.
