Ronald Bruce Burke

Ronald B. Burke, 81 passed away on July 2nd 2026. He was born on April 9th 1945 in Salt Lake City to his parents Truman & Pearl Burke.

Ron was raised in the Salt Lake area with his eight siblings. Ron enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1962 at the age of 17 where he served on the rescue and recovery team being stationed in Texas, New Jersey, Canada, and California. Ron then retired from the military in 1968 and went to work at Hill Air Force Base in the Aircraft Repair Branch as an Aircraft Sheet Metal Worker. Where he worked for the next 32 years and was a supervisor for 26 of those years.

Ron married Joyce Moses in 1967, they were blessed with two sons Greg and Brett. They raised their boys in Utah where they enjoyed camping, golfing, snowmobiling, and going on new adventures. Ron, Joyce, and their sons moved to Las Vegas in 2000. Where Ron got to enjoy his golf game year-round and made countless friends who shared his love for golf. Ron played almost every golf course in the Las Vegas area with his friends by his side. Joyce sadly passed away in 2002. Ron continued to live in Las Vegas while also traveling to Utah to see relatives. Ron was reacquainted with Susann (Soozi) and the two began dating. Ron and Soozi got married in 2004 the two lived in Las Vegas for 20 years before moving back to Utah to be closer to family. Ron and Soozi enjoyed traveling and exploring new places in their motor home.

Ron was such a light in everyone’s lives and was so loved by everyone he will be missed dearly. Ron is survived by his wife Susann (Soozi), sons Greg & Brett, grandchildren Steven Burke & Chandler Burke, and his sister Kaye Velasquez.

A Celebration of Life will be held August 1st at the Village on The Green Clubhouse, 1563 E. Rolling Green Dr. Draper, Ut 84020 from 3pm to 6pm. The family asks that you bring your best memory of Ron to share.
