We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Ronella Alice Birch Hunt, 80, on May 18, 2023. Ronella left this earthly life surrounded by her loving family.
Ronella was born on July 8, 1942, in Rexburg, Idaho to Albert Henry Birch and Alice Pearl Taylor. She is the youngest child and only daughter of seven children.
Ronella attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho and then transferred to BYU in Provo, Utah. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She worked as an elementary school teacher for several years in Idaho.
She married Melvin John Hunt in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 26, 1970. They started their life together in Ucon, Idaho. Then they purchased Little Salt Creek Farms in Levan, Utah, where they raised their six children.
Ronella worked very early mornings at the Mt. Nebo Market bakery in Nephi, Utah for 20 years. She retired from the bakery in 2016.
Her children and grandchildren were always very special to her, she loved them all very much. Her joy was spending time with and spoiling them for birthdays and Christmas.
Ronella loved working outdoors in her garden and flower beds. She taught her children the value of hard work. She loved her pets, especially her dogs. She loved taking care of others more than herself and always wanted to see others happy. She loved spending time with her family by going to the zoo, having picnics in the mountains, going on scenic trips, and watching movies and tv shows.
She is survived by her husband Melvin of Levan, UT and their six children, Lynell Tolman (Jason), Payson, UT, Daniel Hunt (Amber), Levan, UT, Terrah Shepherd (Steve), Cedar Hills, UT, Sarah Hunt, Levan, UT, Nathan Hunt, Levan, UT, Jonathan Hunt (Katherine), Nephi, UT.
