Ruth “Elaine” Heiden Arritola, 73, passed away on December 26, 2022, at The Lodge Assisted Living in Riverton, Utah. She was born June 2, 1949, to Vern and Janice Heiden (Showalter) in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Larry Arritola on June 1, 1968, in Copperton, Utah, and together they raised two children. She resided in Copperton for most of her married life and made many lifelong friends. She moved to Sagewood at Daybreak Independent Living with her husband in September 2021 and the residents grew to love her and treated her with kindness.

Elaine was proud to be a Bingham Middle School Assistant. She volunteered with the Bingham Lions Club for community activities and Lions conventions. In her younger life, she loved dancing, skiing, playing tennis & golf. In her later years, she loved needlepoint, card games, and Facebook. She loved being a mom and enjoyed time with her family and friends.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents Vern Heiden and Janice Heiden (Showalter).

She is survived by her husband Larry Arritola, son Craig (KC), daughter Brenda, brothers Vern (Ann), Kenneth, Reed (Julie), and Ron.

A funeral will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Goff Mortuary at 11 am. A viewing will be held January 5, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 pm.
