Ruth Green Wiley

Ruth Green Wiley was born on May 9th, 1939 to Mary Afton Petersen and Joseph Afton Green in Murray, Utah. She passed on to Heaven on April 30th, 2026.

Ruth was the kindest person to have ever walked on earth. If you needed anything she was the first one there. She always had a smile and kind words for everyone she came in contact with.

She loved her family, coke, chocolate and all animals, especially her dog, Abby.

Her last year was difficult for her, but through it all she never lost her smile or sense of humor. Always wanting to know when she was going to get better, not knowing better would be when she was reunited with her mom, dad, and brother in Heaven.

She is survived by her husband Harold Wiley, daughters Lori (Gordy) Yates, Kris (Scott) Andersen, Lynette (Rick) Lucking, Annette (Larry) Jenkins, son Troy (Melanie) Mitchell, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

Special thanks to the group from Dignity Hospice Care including Andi, Rosa, and Amanda. Also, special thanks to Julie and Alicia without their help, her care would have been only 1/5 the care she received.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the River Ridge 6th Ward, 1409 West 9800 South, South Jordan. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 9th at 12:00 PM with a viewing from 10:00 to 11:30 AM also at the church. Interment to follow services at Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S. Vine Street, Murray.
