Sarah Kitchin Swanson

Sarah Swanson, 86, passed away on February 23, 2022 in Sandy, UT peacefully at home surrounded by family.
She was born on May 1st, 1935, in Asheville, NC to Jessie and Daisy Kitchin.
Sarah married Robert Swanson in October 5, 1952 in Dillon, SC.
Mrs. Swanson was a loving devoted mother of seven living children. She was devoted to her late husband of 64 1/2 years who she only knew one week prior to getting married (and loved telling that story). She never met a baby she didn't fall in love with and none was a stranger to her. She loved to be around family and Sarah had many children adopt her as their 'maw.'
Sarah was ready to go home to meet her Lord and Saviour.
She is survived by one sister; her daughter, Caroll Register (Robert); sons David Swanson (Denise) and Stephen Swanson; daughters, Rebekah Hensley-Martin (Greg), Charity Spencer (Trevor), and Faith Longoria (Josh), as well as twenty six grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, three brothers, four sisters and one son.
A memorial service will be held at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia, VA on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 1 pm, with a reception immediately following the service at 11425 Brickshire Park, Providence Forge, VA 23140.
