Sharon Daugherty

(Mildred) Sharon Maupin Daugherty, 80, passed away on April 21, 2023 in her home in Sandy, UT.

She was born on February 25, 1943 in Espanola, New Mexico to Junius Dolliver Maupin and Mildred Beatrice McGinnis Maupin. 

Survived by: daughter Stella (Steve) Stewart of Pahrump, NV, grandson David (Carmen) Burnett of Orlando, FL, granddaughters Elizabeth (Alan) Mortensen of Sandy, UT, Audra Negron of Killeen, TX, along with nephew Ronald Cozart of Oregon, 8 great grandchildren and many great nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved and will be missed.

Preceded in death by: parents Junius and Mildred Maupin, brothers Oran (Ike), Wayne, Ronald, and sister Carol.

Sharon was a beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was always showing her love for others through her creative mind. She enjoyed arts and crafts including embroidery and cake decoration. And was an excellent seamstress. As a youth she was a rodeo queen, trick rider, and an excellent dancer. She was a mother and homemaker, worked as a waitress/cook in her parents cafe, and a denture technician at her brother in law’s business. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
