Sharon Louise Perry

Sharon Louise Perry, resident of Orem, Utah, formally of Concord, California, passed away on October 27, 2022 at Spring Hollow Assisted Living at the age of 79.

Her memory will be kept alive by: her 5 children- Tyree Norman (Jed), Jennifer Schade (Bob), Amy Bowler (Jared), Joseph Perry (Krista), and Brodie Perry (Melissa); her grandchildren; her siblings- Yvonne Giannini (Joe) and Gayle Saunders (Rocky); as well as her many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Perry, her sister Marian Saunders and brothers, David and Danny Saunders and her parents.

Born to George and Nancy (Transchel) Saunders on June 4, 1943. Sharon grew up in Arroyo Grande, California. She loved writing poems and songs, working on her genealogy, reading and doing puzzles. Making people laugh came naturally to her and heaven forbid if she ever passed up a yard sale without stopping! More than anything else she loved spending time with friends and family.

She graduated from Alhambra High School in 1961. She was involved with a local bowling league amongst a variety of athletic activities. She later worked at the local county health department, as well as other odd jobs she enjoyed. Mom was always willing to do whatever it took to help provide for family, including: Amway, daycare and elderly assistance.

Sharon married the love of her life, the late Charles Arvard Perry in November 1968. They were happily married for 22 years. Being a wife and mother were her greatest joys and truly the jewels in her crown!

Sharon was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had a strong testimony of her Savior Jesus Christ and served in many callings in the church. As much as she enjoyed serving others, her main love was working with Young Women and Girls Camp.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all her healthcare workers from Spring Hollow Assisted Living and the amazing Hospice team at Rocky Mountain Home Care and Hospice.

Mom had a childlike love of people and life and was the epitome of the saying, “To know her, is to love her.”
