Stacy Jayne Jensen was a woman whose heart was as big as her spirit, whose independence was matched only by her strength, and whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and love to those around her.
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Stacy moved to San Mateo, California, before her first birthday. She grew up full of energy and personality, becoming a dancer, cheerleader, and a natural leader. Adventurous, spontaneous, strong-willed and never afraid to do things her own way, Stacy lived life with a spirit all her own.
Stacy was the mother of Bradley, Daniel, Brittney, and Michelle. She eventually made her way back to Utah where she built a successful career in the financial advisory business. What began as work alongside her mother grew into a business, which she eventually led as president. She took great pride in her work and genuinely cared for the people she served, building relationships that went far beyond business.
She eventually found her forever partner in Robert Burns. Together they built a life in Lehi, Utah, filled with love, adventure, travel, and countless memories. She took great pride in her yard and the all of flowers in it. They explored beautiful places around the world including Africa, Spain, France, Mexico, Barcelona, Costa Rica, Cayman Islands, and the Florida Keys. One particular memorable adventure was hiking 85 miles along Spain’s Camino de Santiago Trail, an experience of a lifetime. Stacy had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and loved camping, exploring and experiencing all the beauty the world had to offer. Stacy loved the beach, the feel of the sand in her toes, the sun on her face and the feel of the ocean breeze. Whenever the adventure followed, her beloved cats came along for the journey too. They were part of her family and loved having them by her side.
Stacy had an artistic soul and an appreciation for beauty in all its forms. She loved art, creativity, writing poetry, and music. Her tattoos were another reflection of her individuality and creativity, expressions of a women who wasn’t afraid to be unapologetically herself.
She was also passionate about yoga, both as a participant and teacher, and found meaning in soundbaths and the peace they brought her. Her connection to this part of her life was deeply personal, extending to the creation of her own healing drum. She treasured friendships and the people who walked alongside her through life's different seasons. Stacy had multiple friends and family who showed a tremendous source of love and support, especially during Stacy’s final months.
Above all, Stacy had an enormous heart. She wanted the people around her to feel happy, loved, and welcomed. She was fiercely independent, determined, and one of the strongest women those who knew her will ever have the privilege of knowing. The last several months of her life brought battles no one should have to face, but Stacy met them with incredible strength and determination.
Stacy leaves behind more than memories. She leaves behind the love she gave so freely, the places she explored, the friendships she nurtured, the adventures she shared and the countless ways she made people feel special. Her spirit will live on in the people she touched and in the little reminders of her everywhere; a beautiful piece of art, a trail waiting to be explored, a campfire under the moon and stars, the buzzing of the bees among flowers, a favorite song, a good laugh, or a game of yahtzee surrounded by family.
We will remember her independence, her adventurous spirit, her creativity, her strength and the sunshine she brought into our lives. Stacy was one of a kind, and there will never be another like her. She will be profoundly missed and forever loved.
