Stephen Eldon Walker passed on to the next life on February 16, 2022, peacefully with his family close by. Born to Ronald F. Walker and Amy Wardle August 17, 1940, in Union, Utah. A Jordan High School graduate of 1959. As a young man, Steve joined the Army National Guard and served for six years before receiving an honorable release in 1969.

Steve enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing, camping, hiking, and hunting. He had a deep passion for pheasant hunting. Steve enjoyed swimming, white water rafting, and skiing (water and snow). He loved just about anything that involved water. He was a ski patrolman at Brighton ski resort and a lifeguard at a local swimming pool. As a young boy, he had a paper route and bought his own bike with the money he earned. Steve worked for Kennecott Copper and retired after 31 years. He drove the last train out of the Bingham Canyon mine the day he retired.

Steve married Carolyn Tuckett on July 12, 1973. She had three boys from a previous marriage and Steve loved and raised them as his own. Then, the couple added two more boys to the family. They raised their boys on a small farm in Bluffdale, UT until Steve retired, then they moved to Delta, UT.

Farming and ranching were always a part of his life. He enjoyed raising horses, cows, chickens, and especially pheasants. He has always enjoyed working outside, growing a garden, and building things with his bare hands. He taught his boys to work hard and be responsible for their actions.

Steve was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He and his wife Carolyn enjoyed serving as temple workers at the Manti Temple for many years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Carolyn Tuckett Walker; his children Robert (Cindy) Adams, Gregory (Amy) Adams, Russell (Rachelle) Walker, Ryan (Karen) Walker; 20 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
