Steven Edward Haslam was born on December 22, 1955, in Murray, Utah, to Ralph Douglas Haslam and Pearl Smith Haslam. He passed away on January 9, 2026, in Murray, Utah, surrounded by his family and deeply held with love.
Steve graduated from Olympus High School in 1974. He then served with honor in the U.S. Air Force from 1980 to 1991, including five years stationed overseas in Holland at the Soesterberg Air Base. After returning home, he attended and graduated from ITT Tech. Following several other opportunities and careers, Steve chose to spend his remaining working years serving his community as a UTA bus driver, where he received many recognitions and awards, and later caring for others at Beehive Homes of Magna.
Steve met and married the love of his life and best friend, Karen Lee Miller Haslam, in March 1979. Together, they raised three beautiful children: Brandy Michelle (Kevin), Brian Michael (Jess) and Brittney Maegan.
Steve leaves behind his wife, Karen; his three children; two brothers, James Douglas (Jill) Haslam and Robert Wesley Haslam; and eleven grandchildren – Rhianna, Katie, Jaiden, Emmalynn, Carson, Logan, Avin, Connor, Ava, Ian and Dani – who loved their papa so very much. He also leaves behind many other relatives, including cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother, father, grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and in-laws.
Steve was always so passionate about his interests but always put family first.
Steve was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints throughout his life. He served in many callings and made a lasting impact on all who met him.
Steve will truly be missed by so many.
Thank you for all the things you taught us and memories made and shared. May you watch over us and surround us in your love always, Dad/Pops/Papa/(Uncle) Steve. Until we are together again.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 15th at 11:00 AM at the Murray 25th Ward, 160 East 460 South, Murray with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment to follow at West Jordan City Cemetery, 7800 South 1300 West, West Jordan.
