Steven Jay Smith

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Steven Jay Smith, who left this world on May 3, 2025. Steven was a caring, kind, loving, and loyal soul. He will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Steven faced many challenges throughout his life, including a long battle with addiction, but he never let them define him.

He gave selflessly, even when he had little, always ready to help someone else. He saw only the good in people, believing in compassion and second chances. His warmth and humor were unmatched—Steven could make anyone laugh, often when they needed it most.

Steven is survived by his two daughters, Jessica Irene Adams and Natalie Ann Smith; three granddaughters and one grandson; his two devoted sisters, Leone Smith and Lorraine Price, who stood by him with love throughout his journey; and several nieces and nephews. Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Ralph and Barbara Clark Smith; his brother John Ralph Smith; and his brother-in-law, Theron J Smith. He loved his family deeply and was endlessly proud of them.

Though Steven’s life was not easy, his spirit was unbreakable. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and strength. His memory will live on in the stories we share, the smiles we carry, and the kindness we offer in his name.

A viewing for family will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 South 700 East, Draper, Utah. A graveside service will follow at Noon at the Draper City Cemetery, 12441 South 900 East, Draper, Utah.

Rest peacefully, Dad. You are deeply loved and forever missed.
