Sue E. Quintana, aged 86, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 at St. Joseph Villa in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born on July 14th, 1938 in Topeka, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Paul (John) Reavis and Dorotha Ball. 

She graduated college with a bachelors of science degree from Brigham Young University.

Sue retired from Cottonwood Hospital Lab after years of dedicated work as a medical technologist and spent the rest of her time enjoying gardening in her home in Midvale, Utah. She faithfully served as a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for numerous years where she found solace, community, and a sense of purpose there.

During her life, Sue found enjoyment in being with her beloved pets, both dogs and cats alike. She was passionate about genealogy, tracing her family history back for decades and leaving her own family with many books of their history. In her spare time, Sue loved to garden and would spend hours tending to the luscious greenery that surrounded her home. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Quintana. She is survived by her brother, Mike Reavis; her son, Allen Quintana, and her daughter-in-law, Annie Hollenbeck-Quintana; grandsons, Bryce Quintana and Michael Quintana; granddaughters, Katherine Quintana and Jessica Quintana-Saxton; four great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. 

A graveside service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, February 24th, 2024, at Redwood Memorial Cemetery in West Jordan, Utah. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Joseph Villa and Canyon Home Health and Hospice instead. 

The family would like to thank St. Joseph Villa and Canyon Home Health and Hospice for their dedication and care, with a special thank you to Sue’s nurse, Joelle, and Sue’s hospice chaplain, Codie.
