Susan (Parker) Beutler, 73, of Sandy, Utah, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 3, 2025. She was born on April 13, 1952, in Logan, Utah, to George and Renee Parker. She was the loving mother to David, Shelley, Jon, and Steven (Parker) and the devoted wife of Brad, with whom she shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. She was an adoring grandmother to six grandchildren: Sam, Abi, Lexi, Zoe, Mitch, and Louie. A graduate of Logan High School, Sue moved to Sandy in the 1970s, where she built her life, raised her family, and established a rewarding career. Over the years, she worked in a variety of management roles, eventually retiring from a leadership position at Dex, a career she loved and through which she made lasting friendships.
Sue was a lifelong lover of books, travel, and theater, which inspired her children and grandchildren to share these passions. She explored the world with Brad, friends, and family, creating cherished memories along the way. Her appreciation for the arts was constant throughout her life; she was a season ticket holder at the Pioneer Theatre Company, made regular trips to Broadway, and volunteered at the Sundance Film Festival.
Known for her remarkable selflessness, Sue always put the needs and happiness of others before her own, generously offering her time, energy, and heart to family, friends, and her community. In her final years, she continued this devotion, lovingly caring for her husband Brad, even while courageously battling cancer.
As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Sue found great fulfillment in regularly attending the temple, especially with her sister. She had a strong testimony of the gospel, cherished her ward community in Sandy, and drew strength and purpose from her faith, which guided her values and her love for others.
Sue is survived by her husband, Brad, her children, David, Shelley (Zac), Jon (Mara), and Steven, along with her six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Renee Parker, and her sister, Lori.
The funeral will be held on November 15, 2025. Viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by a service honoring Sue’s life at 10:00 a.m. at the Northridge Stake Center, 11196 South Wasatch Boulevard, Sandy, Utah 84092. Sue will be laid to rest at Smithfield Cemetery in Smithfield, Utah, following the service at 2:00 p.m.
