Toni Marie Mlaker

Toni Marie Mlaker, age 67, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her group home on December 13, 2025.

Toni was born on February 14, 1958 in Murray, Utah to Edward Mlaker and Annie Shirley Jackson. Although Toni was born with down syndrome, it didn’t hold her back and she enjoyed a rich and fulfilling life. Her family and friends adored her and she was a bright spot in the lives of everyone who were blessed to be part of her life. Toni’s laughter was infectious and when she was in the room she filled it with joy. Toni was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved going to their Special Mutual and church on the first Sunday of the month, bearing her testimony about the things she loved and was grateful for. She had a zest for life and was always ready for a good meal, a game of Bingo, and a shopping spree at a local thrift store, but the love of her life was her job at South Valley Training Center. Toni loved her bus drivers, trainers, her friends and her caretakers in the home she lived in. Toni was always grateful for everything that was done for her and always expressed her gratitude.

After the death of her mother in 1990 she took care of her father and he took care of her. After her father’s death in 2001 she went to live at Hillcrest Care Center. In 2022 Hillcrest Care Center closed and she went to live in a group home where she resided at the time of her death.

Toni is survived by her siblings Judy Beck (Milton), Rosemary Armstrong (Dan), Susan Garner (Larry), Steven Mlaker, Kelly White (Duane) and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale on Monday, December 22, 2025. A viewing will be held from 10:00 am – 10:45 am, followed by the funeral Services at 11:00 am. Interment Midvale City Cemetery.
