With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Tyler Layne Allred on February 5, 2026. Tyler was born on November 29, 1993 in Payson, Utah to Kurt (Tracy) Allred and Tina (Ken Carlson). He was raised in Nephi, Utah, alongside his siblings Zack (Ashlee) and Ashli (Mack Brown). He graduated from Juab High School before serving an LDS mission in New York from 2013-2015. He married Kieonah Smoot in 2016 and was a proud father to Staten James and Harlem Rebecca, the lights of his life. He worked full time while attending college and earned a degree in engineering. Despite having such a full plate for many years, Tyler never wavered in his role as a loving and present husband, dad, son, brother, and friend.Tyler loved his job as an engineer at Mid-State Consultants, where he had many meaningful friendships.
Tyler was a lover of the New York Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys, good music, and mashed potatoes. He cherished his childhood friendships and wanted his children to be raised in Nephi, where they would share his Wasp Pride. Tyler was a peacemaker and a gentle soul. He was determined, compassionate, and held strongly to his values and convictions.
Tyler is survived by his children, his parents, his siblings- Ashli (Mack), Zack (Ashlee), Jaxson, Talyx, and Lexxis, his grandmother- Dixie Allred, his nephews- Riken, Rogue, Jaxon, Kendricks, and Jeter, his niece- Rezlee, his coworkers and friends, and his lifelong best friend- Kelton Brough. He is preceded in death by his grandparents- Ken Allred, Tom Callister, and Becky Callister.
A visitation will be held Wednesday February 11, 2026 from 6-8pm at the Anderson Funeral Home in Nephi. Funeral services will be held Thursday February 12, 2026 from 11am-1pm at the Juab County Fairgrounds Event Center, with a one hour visitation period prior to the service, from 10-11am. He will be laid to rest at the Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi following the service.
