Venda Seal Bytendorp (66) peacefully passed away, surrounded by loved ones in South Jordan, Utah, on March 14, 2026.
Born on November 8th 1959, to Deno Elmer and Venda Glenn Seal in Murray, Utah. She was the youngest of six children.
She graduated from Bingham High School. Early in life, Venda married Fred Bytendorp, and together they welcomed eight children. Their paths later diverged, but her love and commitment to her children never wavered. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent much of her time serving in her community and in her church callings. She loved entertaining her grandchildren with crafts, baking treats, and playing together. She suffered from CADASIL; her symptoms manifested as migraines, strokes, and early dementia.
Venda is survived by her children Andrew Bytendorp, Rachelle (John) Youngdell, Colette (Brett) Day, Kimberly (Freddie) Reyes, Tiffany (Daniel) Huntsman, Spencer (Madeline) Bytendorp, Jennifer (Zachary) Bytendorp, Tyler Bytendorp; Grandchildren (16 of them) Rebekah, Kailyn, Ryland, Camden, Taylor, Anthony, Liam, Ashley, Gavin, Tristan, Athena, Morrigan, Damien, Eli, Emery, and Deno; Sisters, Tava Lee (Vernon) Nokes, Kathleen (LaMar) Mabey, LuAnn (Bob) Abrams. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dennis, her sister Colleen Bozarth, and her brother-in-law Vernon Nokes.
A viewing will be held on Friday, March 20th, 6:00-8:00 PM at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street in Midvale. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21st, 12:00-1:00 PM also at Goff Mortuary in Midvale.
