Wade Lawrence Sperry

Our beloved father, Wade Lawrence Sperry passed away on the early morning of Thursday, January 8th of 2026 at his home in West Jordan surrounded by his family. Dad was born in Nephi, Utah on September 4, 1964 to Mike and Dixie Sperry.

Dad graduated from West Jordan High School in 1983. He married Tanya in 1989 and together they had four beautiful children Shelby, Sydney, Gracie and Elijah. They later divorced but remained close friends until his passing. Dad worked for Delta Fire for over 20 years and during that time he made many lifelong friends. He later went on to work for Ferguson Fire where he made more lifelong friends and worked there until his passing.

Our dad was an amazing father, son, and friend. He loved the outdoors, especially camping, driving through the mountains and most of all fishing.

Wade was the kindest. Most fun-loving person and it’s a great honor to call him our dad. He will be greatly missed by many. Dad has been reunited with his father Mike, brother Jefferey and his eldest daughter Shelby.

Survived by his mother Dixie; children Sydney, Gracie and Elijah. His sister-in-law Susan and her children Tristen, Tyler and Tanner.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 16th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 17th at 11:00 AM at the Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi, Utah.
