Alice Janeel Lamb, age 89, passed away peacefully June 23, 2020 due to natural causes. She was born August 7, 1930 in Stockton, California to William and Nora Hawkins. After many years of dating, she was sealed in the Manti Temple to Theodore Frederick Lamb on August 15, 1950, who preceded her in death on July 8, 2003.
Alice was a light to everyone met, she truly loved people. She loved to draw, paint, sew, and knit. She was also certified as a teacher in ceramics. Her house was a gathering place for many people each week to paint ceramics and relax with one another as Alice taught them. Alice was also known for bringing those struggling in life into her home and allowed them to be a part of her family and her life. She truly treated everyone she met as her equal and expressed her confidence and love to them.
To Alice, her most prized possessions in life were her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her family in general. She made it a point in life that her children knew who their grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins were. Many of the family trips and family campouts through the years were with relatives and those that were "adopted" into the Lamb family.
Alice was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. She served in many leadership capacities in adult and youth organizations and was loved by many. A Biblical verse that explains how Alice lived is found in Matt. 16:25; "... and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it." In all that Alice Lamb did in life, she lost herself as a mother, family member, and friend in the service of others. In doing this, she found herself and shared that joy to everyone that she met; and many others have embraced that joy themselves because of her great example.
Alice is survived by her sister Norine Frandsen, brothers Bill (and Ilene) Hawkins, Bob (and Betty) Hawkins, her son Ron (and Debbie) Lamb, her daughter Becky (and John) McNary, her daughter Marla (and Steve) Lundgren, her daughter Maureen (and Alan) Brown, and her son James (and Cheryl) Lamb; as well as 31 grandchildren, and 92 great grandchildren. All were loved deeply by Alice. Her legacy and example will continue to live through their lives, and her posterity to come.
