“I sought the Lord and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.” (Psalm 34: 4-5)

Deby was born on May 25, 1956 in Bangor, Maine and lived there until the family moved to Connecticut in the spring of 1957. After graduating from Enfield High School in 1974, she attended Asnuntuck Community College and earned her Associates Degree in 1976. After serving in several other locations in Los Angeles and Long Beach, she accepted early retirement from the Navy in 1994 and worked as Sales Assistant for an industrial and irrigation supply company in Oxnard, California. When the family moved to Sandy, Utah in 1997, Deby worked as an Office Manager for Inman Water Products in Midvale until 2002 and Sprinkler World in Sandy until 2005, when she left to be a stay-at-home mom. Starting in 2006 she worked as a substitute teacher and volunteer for the Jordan School District and completed her Master of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of the Rockies in 2012.
