Lauren Clark Sr.

January 1, 1934 ~ September 3, 2021 (age 87)

Obituary

Lauren Clark Sr. has returned to our Father in Heaven at 87 years young.

The family would like to thank Home Health, Hospice, and all of those who cared for him and showed kindness and love for him.

Lauren is the son of Harry and Ethel Rumsey Clark, born in Chicago, Illinois.

Lauren, Dad, Grandpa {Teddy Bear}, has lived a very full and adventuresome life.

At a very young age he did odd jobs around his neighborhood. He rode his bike many miles from home, while he explored his city.

He built his own crystal radio and was able to pick up calls from far away. Later he built his own computer while working in an electronics store.

After high school graduation he joined the military as a telecommunications engineer where he put his radio communications skills to work. He served during the Korean War. Upon completing his service time he remained in that line of work for the government...  He designed, built, and maintained many complicated devices that he used in his position.

Lauren was very kind and loving. He married his first wife, Shirley Weinstien, and her two children, Bill {Beckie} and Shirley. They had several grandchildren before she passed away of cancer.

He then married his second wife, Linda Carter and her six children, Karl, Kimn, Kyle {Leslie}, Kris, Julie {Tim}, and Kory {Imelda}. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple, and were blessed with two more children, Lauren {Nicole} and Warren {Kendra}.

He raised all ten of the combined children. Now there are many grandchildren, great grand, and great great grandchildren. The joys they bring are countless.

Over the years he took the family to visit his siblings and their families. He loved seeing his kids’ faces light up as they saw new places and met his family.

When he retired from his first job, he volunteered for Search and Rescue. He really enjoyed helping people. While serving in that group, he went through Law Enforcement training and became a Deputy Sheriff. He often said that he never envisioned being in Law Enforcement.

Lauren served with love in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
