Leah Renee Anderson Hunter, 85, returned to her Heavenly Father on January 8, 2020 and was reunited with her loving husband. Renee was born December 28, 1934 to Wayne Lyman and Mae Ethelle Gore Anderson. She married Robert E. Hunter (Bob) on September 27, 1951 and was later sealed in the Manti Temple. Together Bob and Renee raised two sons and one daughter and also made a home for Bob’s youngest sister.
Renee was employed by Utah Sportswear in Spanish Fork for many years. She was an active member The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous church positions in the Spanish Fork Sixth Ward. Bob and Renee loved baseball and spent many hours at the Spanish Fork ballpark. Renee also enjoyed Diet Coke, golfing, camping and spending time with family and friends. One of the things that brought Renee much joy was spending time with her “Club” friends and the laughs that they shared together.
Renee was preceded in death by her loving husband Bob, her parents Wayne and Ethell Anderson, and her only sibling Jeannine Anderson Clark. Renee leaves behind a legacy of three children, Craig (Dolly) Hunter of Las Vegas, Jed (Kristine) Hunter of Spanish Fork and Kim (Michael) Harding of Spanish Fork, along with ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and sister-in-law Ann (Lee) Dickerson of Spanish Fork.
Services for Renee will consist of a viewing and a graveside service. The viewing will be held at the Spanish Fork Sixth Ward Church located at 590 North Main Street on Monday, January 13, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. The viewing will be followed by a graveside service beginning at 12:00 P.M. at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery located at 420 South 400 East.
